Fight Chickens With Chickens by Sos 2010-08-27T10:41:00
Best title ever. I was a bit confused at first as two why I was killing the chickens, but then I realized I could capture their nests.
Pretty cool idea!

Cool game. My issues were the controls. Aiming with your mouse works great when the camera is static, but yours is moving all the time. Why not make AWSD movement and the arrow keys for aiming?
Also, the blocks dropping from the sky was a cool touch; very Tetris-like. Why not pull the camera back in those sections so the camera's static again making the game kinda look like Tetris? If you wanted to take it one step further, you could rotate those falling blocks too, but that might be too cool.
Awesome game, JMNielly!
Great work, arielsan! Loved how you escalated the enemy threat until all your shots had to be perfect or you'd lose. Very fun times.
Different battlefield layouts:
-chokepoints, cover like mountains or bodies of water where only certain enemies can pass.
Different victory conditions:
-vary the length of the matches.
-make one team’s units always weaker than the other
-make certain units really strong for a whole match (i.e. Super Soldiers)
Different buildings and units:
-you don’t need anything; your game is balanced. If you introduce new gameplay mechanics, then you could consider new buildings and units like: air units, anti-air-pillbox units, naval units, shield generators etc.
Other things you've failed to realize (but probably haven't =P)
-controlling 3 teams or more
-survival mode. See how long you can keep the plates of war spinning
-once or twice a round, give players their own unit to control for 20 seconds to directly influence the war for their nefarious plans.
Brilliant game! Thank you.
The following was supposed to precede that comment:
"This is a fantastic game. I worried that the nuclear explosion wasn't going to be epic enough. It was! I love those 5 seconds after you've launched the nukes where the game continues. So much tension. Wonderful! "
Here's another idea:
2 Player Mode:
-still two teams
-one player is still trying to cause mutual destruction
-the other player is trying to tip the balance of war so that one side wins before nuclear annihilation
Still playing your game =)
Cool game Switchbreak!
Aside from the controls, I was a bit confused by which direction the enemies would shoot out of. Sometimes they'd go forward and other times backward. I later realized they'd go the opposite way you last travelled.
I think a simpler, more intuitive mechanic would be that they reflect of your line. No matter what direction you're moving, they'll always bounce off you.
Great job!
Cool gameplay! If you ever plan on adding to this game, I'd turn your dialogue interface into the Sims design. You click on a person, and two bubbles pop up above their head, Complementary and Insultory. From there you get your different phrases. The last part would be Clear or Execute. This would be more intuitive as you don't have to drag your mouse across the entire the screen.
Neat game; congrats on your hard work!
Excellent game. I loved taking about two zombies at once. Classic. I was disappointed that my manager didn't last till the very end of building. Why couldn't he take out one zombie near the top and one near the bottom? That seems like an oversight. Maybe you didn't want players arbitrarily spamming managers. That might make sense.
Anywho, great game!
Solid title. Great art. Controls well. Good humor. I like how you can play more aggressive and shoot armor helmets before they come out.
I feel like the difficulty curve starts really hard and then gets harder. Maybe if it didn't ramp up so early or if it started a little easier.
One quick idea. To help you dodge the bullets more easily, what if when you hold Z, your ship shrinks and when you let go, you resize and shoot out the helmet. What do you think?
Great game!
I just played the Jam version and it's very fun! I enjoyed the dungeons (I found one pretty close to the start at -3, 4, 0.
Sound effects are great and the dungeon music is awesome.
I wish the map would indicate where the staircases are. I had a habit of getting lost in the dungeons =(. I could keep track of it myself but it would be more enjoyable if I new where my exits were.
Great work, Nathan!
Nice first game! I liked seeing the rest of the stage in the distance; it added a sense of exploration which fit the theme nicely. Personally, if there were just a few sound effects in this game, I would feel much more engaged and motivated to play more. Jumping and collisions aside, some sfx would be nice. Nice work!
Cool game Zachary! I had fun seeing where I could go and how long I could last. I enjoyed the tension I felt when I didn't know if I could make it to the next star. If you added more atmosphere to this game with some background sfx, it would be a really cool experience.
Great fun!
Smooth animations, cute artwork, fun premise, good humor. It's like a simplified version of Warcraft. I still haven't figure out why my units keep falling over and dying but I'll solve that next time.
Some sound would make this a solid product.
Several mini-games? Interesting. I love the intro; I half-believed that was the end.
Groovy game. Engaging and surprising cool level design. I think if you could turn a bit faster, it would make the platforming a bit easier. The teleport mechanic was a smart choice.
